just finished walter j miller's classic post (then re) apocalyptic warning about the madness of human aggression and use of technology. i had been waiting to get to it for a while (it was in the pile) and it didn't let down.
i found it did a great job of dealing with some pretty big themes through the experiences of more modest characters. the author also does a great job of building through several hundred years of future history.
i would highly recommend this one to any fan of speculative fiction.
