Went hunting for images of Letchugilla, subject of a National Geographic segment I first saw in the early/mid(?) 90's, after finishing 'Blind Descent' earlier this eve, and came across this gallery of stunning, really jaw-dropping cave images from the Nat Geo site...
There's a lot I clearly won't do in this life, but not seeing these places in person is really a shame. Letchugilla is not open to the public, for good reason, and the conditioning, time, money and emotional toll required to get there as a scientist/speleologist is humbling. Plus, I don't like big spiders...
