a wise man once shared a music/film/etc. rating system with me based on some lines from the movie glengarry glen ross (steak knives). basically, the three prize levels for a sales competition in the film were, in order, 1) a cadillac 2) steak knives and 3) you're fired.
for example:
cadillac = the happy mondays' 'pills 'n' thrills and bellyaches'
steak knives = the happy mondays' 'bummed'
you're fired = the happy mondays' 'yes please!'
this system works pretty well, imo. i've decided to co-opt it for my own recos. enjoy!
